What to wear to work in the winter is one of my most asked questions. It depends on what you do. As many of you know I work in advertising, and I spent a lot of time in meetings, on shoots, in edit suites, and in voice-over studio sessions.
Where I need to be will determine what I need to wear. On days that I’m in meetings with people for the first time, I tend to dress a little smarter. Granted this outfit isn’t smart per say but it’s smart for advertising. On more casual days, I’ll wear jeans or sometimes leggings with a pair of trainers.
To be fair this outfit is very transitional, you could wear this out with friends, or an after-work date.
This striped blouse is from Chicwish; it’s the first time I ordered from there, only to realise that it’s actually a company based in China. I’ve got nothing against China, I just seem to associate their clothes with hit and miss quality from stores like Romwe and Shein.
These trousers are from a new designer that I’ve recently fallen in love with. It’s called Voir Lab. It started in 2015 with a group of fashion enthusiasts who love stand out pieces with a unique artistic edge. I was privileged enough to see their new collection which will be up on my vlog channel this week.
These wide leg trousers are life! They are cinched at the waist perfectly. They flare at just the right amount and sit right where it needs to, which is the smallest part of my waist. The fabric is slightly thick, so it will keep the winds away in the winter.
