My morning skincare post has very been well received! I guess I made you wait for it a little too long for it. I’m so glad you liked it. In this post, I want to share my night time skincare routine. Now I do have use a lot of the same products, however, I’ve added two products here, which are life skin changing; Skinceuticals Resveratrol B E and Medik8 Retinol 3 TR Advanced Night Serum.

After cleansing my face and applying the Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream I proceed with two serums. The first is Skinceuticals Resveratrol B E followed by Medik8 Retinol 3 TR Advanced Night Serum. Next, I apply either a face oil or a Vitamin E cream.

Skinceuticals Resveratrol B E

Skinceuticals Resveratrol B E antioxidant night concentrate is a  serum that promises to help improve your skin’s firmness, radiance, elasticity and density.

The ingredients involved are 1% Resveratrol, 1% alpha tocopherol (a sort of vitamin E) and 0,5% baicalin (a botanical extract derived from skullcap root.)

The reason why I use this serum is the copious amounts of  Niacinamide, (also known as vitamin B3) which is a tried, tested, and trusted the pigmentation-blitzing ingredient and it also adds the radiance factor to the skin.

Resveratrol is a potent antioxidant extracted from grapes and does a great job at protecting our skin’s collagen and elastin while serving as a good anti-inflammatory. Inflammation, even the most subtle, can ruin your skin over time while speeding up the ageing process. Most antioxidants have anti-inflammatory benefits so add them in your skincare routine wherever you can.

Subsequently, we’ve got vitamin E, another excellent antioxidant that can also aid collagen production. As for baicalin, Skinceuticals consider it a good inflammation-reducing antioxidant, and I assume this is what’s been helping my the reduction of my hyperpigmentation.

Medik8 Retinol 3 TR Advanced Night Serum

This serum is light in texture and  super-fast absorbing properties and also contains  vitamin A, which is great for cell division and cell growth  at its most optimal time – at night.  Not only does it reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles it reduces dark spots in targeted areas, which provides an overall radiance.

When using Retinol, it’s best to apply it to the skin gradually over time. I began by Using it twice a week for the first 2 weeks, then every other day for the next 2 weeks, then finally every day after about a month. I would use this After cleansing and applying the hydrating B5 serum in the evening. As the circumference of my face is small, I then to use  apply 2-3 drops of Retinol 3 TR directly onto face and massage it in. I wait around 15 minutes before I apply a face cream oil or face cream.

When I wake up the next morning, my skin feels smooth, soft, and supple.

If you’re new retinol, this is a great  starter serum  as it has really helped my complexion. I’m thinking of upgrading to a higher strength of Retinol, but I will let you know when I do.
