The title of this pot maybe a little miss leading because over the few days I’ve been preparing this post, I’ve actually been sitting in braids that I got done in Nigeria which has transcended into a having my natural hair out with two buns and the back left out. If you haven’t seen it, then that’s the reason you should be following me on Snapchat – @wandesworld. #JustSaying.
Over the years, I have done a range of hairstyles but in recent years, my hair seems to get shorter and shorter. I never thought that would be the case. I’ve always dreamed of Pocahontas’ hair and thought that would be my trademark. Times have changed, and so have I. Shorter hair is the way to go…well for now.
My stylist Hannah Balogun who owns widely popular hair salon Honey Hand persuaded me to do an asymmetric hairstyle which I’m no stranger to. The real bomb was dropped! A lace front! I vowed I’d never install one because they look so fake. She reassured me that she had a technique that would make my hair look as natural as possible. Before I forget let me just add that my no means possible the fact that my bra strap is showing is deemed acceptable. That image is actually for a post I’m still preparing about find the right bra for your top. It just happens to be the only image that shows what the back of the hairstyle looks like.
Back to the point! I first shared this hairstyle on the gram back in January and everyone one of you loved it! To be honest, I don’t know much about the actual hair or what type it is. However, I know that lace frontals at Honey Hand are reasonalby priced. For the finish you get from Honey Hand, it’s totally worth it. Honey Hand are in the process of revamping their website but you can find their details here
