I’m sure many of you know or have heard of Dermablend. They created that incredible video with Zombie boy a few years ago to prove how full coverage foundation should be done. You can see what I’m talking about here.
When popular French Pharmacy brand, Vichy teamed up to create a foundation, I knew that it would be magic. It contained the full coverage properties of the Dermablend foundation and the skin care benefits from Vichy skin care. If that is not foundation dreams then I don’t know what is.
Why I’m super happy (and late) to tell you that Dermablend range has 3 new additions which cater to a wider range of skin tones which consist of Porcelain (for paler complexions) and Coffee and Espresso for us
chocolate darker complexion.
I have to admit, I was slightly nervous to try the Vichy Dermablend Foundation simply because I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing ten pounds of makeup, however, the thought of blemish free skin in one application just couldn’t stop me. It’s thick, but not as thick as I would have expected.
Personally, I found needed only a small amount. I never thought I’d say that! I usually like 2 layers (3 if I’m going a full glam look). I used both the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and Beauty Blender to blend it out. I much preferred the Beauty blender although it does take a little longer to make sure its immaculate.
Personally I would describe this foundation as a full coverage foundation with the feel of a lightweight foundation. Oxymoron! It’s dewier than matte, which I adore as it looks skin like. Ok perfect skin like! In saying that it’s more in between dewy and matte so it’s suitable for most skin types.
Do you know how to make a makeup addicted happy? Create the perfect foundation, in the perfect shade, with great lasting power, that blends amazingly! Vichy Dermablend I have to give it to you. Perfection in a bottle.
