I’m trying to get in shape by loosing weight and it’s proving harder than expected. One of the difficult things about weight loss is trying to burn fat. Yes exercise works, but what alternatives are there if you’re looking for extra support through your diet?
So, as always, I went back to the drawing board and had a good think. Cup of green tea in hand, I started to think up a new solution. It didn’t take long for procrastination to kick in and before long, I was staring into my green tea.
Then it hit me: tea. It’s no secret that green tea is good for you, and it’s championed for many things; one of which is increasing your metabolic rate and fat burning. Considering this, I wanted to find a way to incorporate green tea into my daily diet. Here’s a recipe I’ve created which does exactly that:
¾ cup water
2 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen
2 tbsp chai seeds
- 1. Boil hot water. Set aside once hot and place tea bags into pan. Leave to infuse for seven minutes. Remove tea bags and chill overnight.
- Place chilled tea, ice, almond milk and chia seeds into blender.
- Blitz until smooth. Serve cold.
