The older you get you learn that time moves super quick. So when I was invited by the lovely people over Holland and Barrett to escape my busy life to be whisked away for a relaxing retreat at the Midlands Hotel in Manchester for the weekend with other five bloggers, I had to say yes.
Moments before entering the hotel I stared at the historically beautiful architecture before learning that this is the very hotel that the originators of Rolls-Royce had their first meeting. I initially met with the other blogger over some peppermint tea and all got to know each other.
Shortly after the introductions, we were shown to our rooms, then we were whisked away to have our hand massages. The room was dark, relaxing, and peaceful, with soft music that instantly got me feeling loose and relaxed. I genuinely thought that this would be a hand massage whilst the therapist sat in front on me and chit chatted away. When I was asked to take off my top half, I thought it was an unusual position to have a hand massage. I was delighted to know that the Midlands Hotel consider my arm, back, neck, and shoulders being part of my hand. Definitely no complaints there! After feeling light and supple, we were escorted to the relaxation room where I napped for a bit.
After feeling rested and refreshed it was time to explore Manchester. We headed to the Manchester Arndale which was quite a cool one for me as I put a lot of digital adverts there so it was cool to actually see the site itself. We strolled around Selfridges and went to all the popular blogger-loving brands such as Diptique, Jo Malone, and Charlotte Tilbury to name a few, before heading back to get ready for dinner.
I attended this relaxation escapade in a pretty autumnal ensemble, which I’ve worn similar outfit here. The only difference is the Rag and Bone leather shorts and the boots. On Saturday, I’ll tell you about the gorgeous dinner that we had!
