A few weeks ago I was invited by Mama Mio to attend an orangetheory workout. An orangetheory workout uses the science of Heart Rate Based Treadmill Interval Training, Indoor Rowing for increased power and the proven concept of Weight Training.
The day started off with a little talk about the season what to expect, and personal experiences of using the Mama Mio products.
We were then introduced to our trainer for the session, who explained the orange theory workout. Prior to the talk we had to get heart rate monitors so that you could see what you’re doing on the board. The aim was to be in the orange section for 12-20 mins so that you can burn an additional 200-300 calories 24 hours after the workout.
Although the session was intense, it reminded me of a lighter version of insanity. I really enjoyed the workout, but I realized I wasn’t pushing myself as much as I should have because I was only in the orange section for 8 mins.
I did try the workout wonder during my session, which I put on before and after the workout. It’s a nice cooling feeling, and you can really feel your muscles working.
We were gifted with a few of the products, but I’ll report back on how I get on with it.
