Hey guys, how are you doing? Thanks so much for the feedback about the reflections posts, and I am glad that you liked it. On Sunday evening I went to the cinema to see 12 Years a Slave. It’s a very emotional film so as you can imagine the makeup didn’t last long.

I went for a soft but sultry smoky eye paired  with my favourite red lip from Illamasqua. I decided not to wear lashes on this occasion to keep the look light, but I certainly gave my lashes countless coats of mascara.

For foundation I used the Sleek be beautiful Blemish Balm in Dark all over my face, followed by the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in shade 03. Next I filled in my eyebrows with Rimmel’s eyebrow pencil in brown. I lined my top lash line with the Rimmel Waterproof Gel Eyeliner.
I went super crazy with the Rimmel Lash Accelorator Endless mascara and put a bajillion coats because I knew I wasn’t going to wear lashes. Skipping blush on this look as I wanted the attention on both eyes and lips. My excitement can never be contained when I put Illamasqua Box lipstick on because the love connection is like no other. Illamasqua Box is a luxurious deep scarlet red lipstick with a matt finish.
The colour payoff is amazing as its super pigmented, and it glides on like a dream. Prior to reaching for the lipstick I apply a little vaseline to my lips as this lippy can be drying to the lips if not prepped properly.

So there you have it, my simple smokey eye look, with a bright red lip.

Let me know if you like these kind of posts, and what you’d like to see from me, as Miss Wande here is on a roll. I’m going to attempt to blog everyday.

What’s your favorite red lippy?
