Wild About Beauty is one of those uber cool brand that announced its arrival last year. It was launched by an international makeup artist Kim Jacob and Louise Redknapp. With my obsession with all things natural and paraben free what drew me to this brand is the philosophy behind it. The brand is to use botanical ingredients to correct, balance and improve the appearance of the skin. Everything in the line of makeup is free from parabens, talc and petrochemicals. It is also cruelty free.
Strangely enough of all the products in the range, I was super keen to try the Mattifying balm. Now your probably thinking err… Wande you always complain about your desert dry skin why on earth would you get a mattifying balm.
As you can imagine, I’ve never needed nor tried anything mattifying. However when we Londoners get out heavily imposed sunshine, I tend to look like a walking grease ball, so I thought I’d give this a try. The texture of the The Mattifying Balm is a light-weight and completely colourless balm which suprisingly and instantly mattifies my face.
Some say its a multi-purpose product which is gives you fab results as a makeup primer or quick on the go touch ups. I felt as nervous as a child’s first day at school; putting this over my makeup. Personally I think it’s best as a primer as its erases appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving me a smooth base
If you get super duper oily no matter the weather then this may not be something for you, however if you feel every now and again you get oil, and the main cause is the sun, or excessive heat, then I’d recommend you give this a try.
I prefer to use this with my Make Up For Ever and Lancome foundations as it makes my skin look amazing and silky smooth.
