For  while I wasn’t feeling so optimistic about these beauty boxes. They seemed to be the rage in 2012, soon after everyone jumped on the band wagon. The decision to make a choice on which beauty box to go for was becoming increasing difficult. However the pioneers of these beauty boxes, and powerhouse Birchbox has hit UK shores. When I was offered the opportunity to get my hands on their first box, it had me speechless. Birchbox entered the UK with a bang, by acquiring Joliebox in the UK too. This I had to see.

One thing I liked about the first beauty box is that they didn’t go crazy and put all full size products, which I kinda glad they didn’t as it’ll be unrealistic to expect that the following month. Well I guess they are the experts at this aren’t they.

Back in 2012 when I tried out the Jolie Box, I loved that fact that the packaging was slightly different in terms the small reusable draw string bag, which is a life saver if you love to spend most weekends in a London hotels like me. All my skincare goodies all in one place!  Bliss.

So what’s inside, I hear you ask?

KMS California Freeshape – I confess I’ve never actually heard of this brand before, so I’m quite intrigued to try it.  I had a quick pop over the to and it says it “primes the hair for heat styling”. Sound interesting. I’ll let you know how I’ll get on.

Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Tint – When I went to Paris, I totally picked up one of these. The scent was so sweet. I instantly fell in love. I’m so happy to be trying the rose scent.

WEI Jujube age control serum –I presume that the audience of beauty boxes where young people under 25, I may be wrong. I’m not looking into ageing products just yet, so this will go to Mama Wande’s World :).

Wild Romantic Body Butter – With dry desert skin over here, I always have to make sure that I’m moisturised, and in the winter months I have to be smothered in moisturiser to not have any dry patches in my face. I’m hoping this will do wonders, as it smells like it will.

Teapigs Tummy Tonic – Ohhh they’ve added a lifestyle product, oh I love the little extras, espcially tea to help me feel warm and fuzzy inside.I  feel like my tummy is being taken care of too.

Coloniali Deep Massage Body Cream with myrrh – Another body cream, I think I would have prefered something else, but still worth a try.

Overall I like what I recieved in my Birchbox and impressed by the added lifestyle product. I like the fact they didnt go crazy and over promise you full size luxury products in the box UK edition, because thats just setting yourself up to under-deliver. I didnt really appreciate the age control product but anywhoo it’s an overall thumbs up from me.  I’ll let you know how I get on with the products too, and any products love with be probably featured in a favourites video or something.
