NEW ADDITION: JEANNE LANVIN COUTURE

NEW ADDITION: JEANNE LANVIN COUTURE
Early this month, French fashion house Lanvin released a fragrance called Jeanne Lanvin Couture. Four years ago, they released an earlier version called Jeanne Lanvin which I really used to like so getting this one was a no brainer.

The previous fragrance was a bit overwhelming; it was more tutti frutti than tropical so I stopped using it pretty quick. However, the newly released version takes it up a notch for a more feminine, mature, and sensual scent.

I’d say the addition of peony flowers and magnolia essence give it a more sensual scent. Other notes in the fragrance include violet leaves, and my beloved: musk and cedarwood (I’m sure you know I’m a sucker for anything with musk or woody notes in). However, there are similarities to the previous fragrance as they both carry a raspberry note.

Although I have quite a collection of perfumes, this has to be my most reached for fragrance. Oh, another stand-out feature has to be presentation, it comes in an elegant purple ribboned flacon which screams couture!

One bad news for my friends across the pond, is it’s not going to be available in the US.

If you’re in the US, your best options are a lavish trip to the cheese eating city of France – or better still, get it online.
