A NAIL DAY: OPI LAUNCH & THE CHELSEA DAY SPA

A NAIL DAY: OPI LAUNCH & THE CHELSEA DAY SPA

If you haven’t been able to tell, OPI is one of my favourite nail polish brands, the consistency, colour and smoothness of the brush are several reasons why – oh I could write an essay about why I love OPI (but don’t worry I won’t, I promise). Oh and have you seen the names, lol they get me every time, they’re just so clever, and well thoughout

Anyway, back to the launch: early Thursday morning I headed down to the Corinthia Hotel to see their A/W 12 Collection. Every year, OPI releases a collection for a country, and this year it’s Deuschland, Germany.

Do you see what I mean about the names, oh OPI I love thee
This colour “Schnapps Out Of It” caught my eye, and I immediately had to have it on my nails, do you like?

The Nail Tech put this on my nails, and my nails were dry instantly! I want this now. I’m sure you know I’m addicted to finding fast drying top coats, as it makes my nail experience so much more pleasurable, and my nails long lasting.
I trotted down to the Haymarket Hotel for the Revlon Nail Bar where they were celebrating 80 years, but since my nails had been painted already, I just chilled with the girls and had a bite to eat. I loved their Diner themed event.

Ok I know you’re going to tell me it’s a waste that I got my nails painted at the OPI Launch…because I had a manicure and pedicure booked at the Chelsea Day Spa. Don’t judge me, I seriously fell in love with that colour, and it made me happy that I had it on for a few hours.

The treatment I opted for was the New York Manicure and Pedicure. It’s normally £65 but they’ve got an offer on till September where its £35. The people at The Chelsea Day Spa are nice and personable. Not that I went there for the beverages, but they do have a nice variety, so I indulged in a nice hot cup of peppermint tea.

The brand of nail polish they use is Jessica, which I hadn’t really tried before, as I am so used to using OPI. I wouldn’t say I’m a convert, but I’ll give this brand a try, as they do have some pretty colours.

Since my feet had been away wrapped up during the Autumn/Winter seasons, I thought the manicurist had her work cut out for her. Nonetheless, she managed to work her magic and my hands and feet looked good as new.

I love the pearlescent finish, and there were some great summer colours too – well hello open toe shoes!
The colour on my hands is Rolling Rose (713) and  my toes are Hotter than Hibiscus (714).

Overall, I would recommend this New York Mani and Pedi. If you live or work in the Chelsea area, this is a great lunch time treat. After my mani and pedi I headed to the New look Press Day, but I’ll tell you about it in the next post.
