With frills and ruffles being all the rage right now, it’s about time I tried it. This cobalt blue crop frill jacket with a ruffle trim, peplum hem and fluted sleeves is a nice way to add a feminine spin to a casual look. Considering my style is quite feminine anyway, you can see why I instantly gravitated towards this jacket. Being torn between getting it in the blue or the pink. I know I’m obsessed with pink, but blue seemed more of a statement colour.
To simplify the outfit, wearing a white cami style crop top, with light washed denim, help to make it casual a little, but then I dressed them up with these coveted red patent heels. The sun has been blazing over the last few days so these sunnies are bomb. I wore this outfit a friends house warming party. It’s always nice to support friends on various achievements, they may not feel like they come often, but when you do, it’s nice to celebrate. I was going off a tangent there, anyway back to the outfit, the heels did make me feel a little dressed up but last minute we ended up going out for dinner in Chelsea so I was fine in the end.
I love the clashing of the primary colours, so I didn’t add any jewellery or even a bag to detract from the colours. It felt rather freeing not carrying a bag. This must be a sign that I’m decluttering my life because I’m usually the girl carrying the kitchen sink.
If you were to style this jacket, how would you style it? Would you play it say safe and wear it with black, or be a little more daring and wearing it with bright colours like I’ve done. I’ve always loved colour so I’ll never shy away from it.
I would really appreciate if you commented on this outfit below, so I can read your thoughts.
