A little staycation break can be all you need to recuperate from the hefty challenges life throws at us. At the end of November when Michael had to leave me. I was so stressed out that I just needed to be run away and get some well-deserved rest and feel like a princess. The lovely people at Bermondsey Square Hotel heard my woes and invited me to stay at this beautiful hotel.
Bermondsey Square Hotel is cute little boutique hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of London Bridge and the antique markets.
On entering the hotel, I was invited by the warm rustic decor as well as the welcoming staff that graced the reception. I was then whisked away to my suite, where I skyped Michael for hours and ordered room service countless times.
The rooms are compact, and they made great use of space! It felt quite cosy as everything is in an arms reach. The bed is perfectly placed in front of the TV, with the mini bar situation just underneath. It felt like nothing was more than an arms reach, perfect for those lazy, cosy, relaxing nights in. The bed was so comfortable I fell into a deep sleep shortly after a hot steam shower.
The following morning, I opened the curtains and enjoyed a cup of green tea outside is the crisp air whilst taking in the atmosphere.
Before I knew it, a vegetarian breakfast arrived, ready for me to tuck in to. I chilled some more and cleared my head to take on a the day with large strides.
They have a room called the Lucy, Diamond Loft Suite, which has a hot tub in it. It’s already booked up for valentines day this year, so if you like the look of it, you might have to plan for 2017 lol.
I’d definitely recommend staying here, for a nice chilled staycation.
